This coming Saturday, April 9th at Vystar Veterans Memorial Arena • Jacksonville, FL, streaming via ESPN + pay-per-view (PPV).
FIGHT CARD
We have two title fights on the line. A UFC Featherweight Championship bout between current champion Alexander “THE GREAT” Volkanovski vs title challenger "THE KOREAN ZOMBIE" for the main event. The co-main event will be the UFC Bantamweight rematch between the champion Aljamain Sterling vs. Petr Yan! Right before the co-main event you have a very highly watched match in Gilbert Burns vs. Khamzat Chimaev. Khamzat is undefeated will he be the future UFC Welterweight champion is the hype real?
WHAT CAN WE EXPECT?
A stacked fight card with many matches to watch! Two amazing titles are on the line and an exciting welterweight prospect making noise.
In the main event this fight is exciting on so many levels. This will not go to the judges’ score cards it will be a very strategic fight for both fighters. Volkanovski is coming off a win against Brian Ortega and The Korea Zombie win against Dan Ige. Someone is going to get knocked out or submitted both fighters took training to the next level and are prepared for everything that will come fight night, expect calculated fireworks to light up the octagon.
In the co-main event Aljamain Sterling vs. Petr Yan the anticipated rematch! Sterling took the belt in their first encounter on a disqualification where Yan delivered an illegal knee. Many want to see what would be if there wasn’t a disqualification who will impose their strengths and weakness on game night now, we can set the record straight who will be the champion no room for errors this time around.
Khamzat Chimaev is undefeated in the welterweight division and will be tested against Gilbert Burns. Khamzat has made a loud statement, “EVERYBODY. I COME HERE FOR EVERYBODY! KILL EVERBODY! I’M THE CHAMP!” His fight record is 10-0-0, 6 coming by TKO and 4 by submission he is a finisher. Burns has his hands full he will need to take opportunities has they present themselves and let instinct guide him if he is going to have a chance to win.
FINAL THOUGHTSThe Korean Zombie will become the first Korean UFC Featherweight Championship via submission and will shock the world. Petr Yan will retain his championship belt via decision and Khamzat will once again prove us wrong, and finish Burns in round 2 with a devastating KO!
