WORLD LIGHTWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP ON THE LINE!

BELT UP FOR GRABS!
With Khabib Nurmagomedov officially retiring the Lightweight Championship is up for grabs. Dustin Poirier stated he was not interested in the title bout and was more interested in a trilogy with Conor McGregor. What an opportunity for Chandler and Oliveira to meet in the octagon for the championship belt.

LET'S LOOK AT THE STATS
Charles Oliveira has been undefeated since 2018. He fought twice in 2020 and added to his list of wins over Tony Ferguson and Kevin Lee. He is well known for his submissions in the UFC but in the last year, he has significantly improved his striking ability.

Michael Chandler is on a mission in the UFC. He is not wasting any time calling out fighters and making his run at the championship title. He has demonstrated knock-out power under the Bellator organization. He has wins over Benson Henderson in Bellator and most recent knockout of Dan Hooker at UFC 257.

WHAT CAN WE EXPECT?
Oliveira needs to watch out for Chandler's overhand right and left hook that put Dan Hooker to the ground. Chandler is going to pressure Oliveira from the opening bell. Oliveira has to tuck his chin and circle around Chandler to avoid getting hit in the first minute of the bout. In one of those exchanges, Oliveira could attempt a takedown. Chandler does pose good takedown defense, he displayed that in his bout against Benson Henderson. If Oliveira survives the first 2 rounds he takes it by decision!
There we said it!
