On May 7, 2022, at the Footprint Center, Phoenix there will be “TWO” title bouts on the line, the Women's Strawweight and Men’s Lightweight bout.
FIGHT CARD
We have another stacked card at UFC 274! The main event you have Rose "THUG" Namajunas vs. Carla "COOKIE MONSTER" Esparza for the Strawweight belt. In the co-main event, it is Charles Oliveira vs. Justin Gaethje for the Lightweight belt. Were not done we also have fighting Michael Chandler vs. Tony Ferguson, Mauricio “SHOGUN" Rua vs. Ovince Saint Preux, and Donald "COWBOY" Cerrone vs. Joe Lauzon, truly insane fight card!
We can’t wait for this fight card the entire fight card from the beginning to the end will be a movie! There are so many great bouts on this card let’s see what we can expect from them.
NAMAJUNAS VS ESPARZA II
In the main event this fight will be fireworks without a doubt. “I AM THE BEST” can Rose keep living up to her mantra? Namajunas and Esparza both first met back in 2014 on the season finale of The Ultimate Fighter for the first UFC Strawweight Championship ever. This fight ended in the 3rd round via submission, Esparza with the WIN! Namajunas faces redemption this time around this will be a rematch. It has been 8 years since they last faced off and each have evolved so this will be a testament to see who has evolved the best each are coming off a win.
CHARLES VS GAETHJE
The co-main event will not let us down we have the most entertainer fighter of the UFC, Justin Gaethje battling Charles Oliveira for his shot of gold yet again and prove he is the best. Charles Oliveira continues to execute his brilliance in every fight and clearly shows his fight expertise. Charles continues to show us amazing improvement in every aspect of his fight game, he has been so impressive in the last few fights can Justin prove us wrong. This will not go to the judges’ score cards both fighters are finishers! We will be lucky if we even get 3 rounds out of this fight.
CHANDLER VS TONY
We’re not done we also have fighting Michael Chandler vs. Tony Ferguson. Someone is going to get knocked out or submitted both fighters have so much on the line. Both are coming well trained, and they both will be prepared for everything that will come fight night, expect nothing but explosive fireworks in this match.
RUA vs OSP
From the beginning of this PPV event UFC 274 will not disappoint you have Mauricio “SHOGUN" Rua vs. Ovince Saint Preux, and Donald "COWBOY" Cerrone vs. Joe Lauzon lighting up the show. All are seasoned fighters that put on a great show I expect nothing less from each of these fighters. Rua and Saint Preux first met at UFC Fight Night 56 in November 2014. “OSP” TKO win over Rua, now 7 years later who will win the rematch? In the fight between Cowboy vs. Joe Lauzon both fighters who have impressive Fight of the Nights and other post-fight bonuses inside the UFC ring – this is a fan favorite match up.
FINAL THOUGHTS
Rose "THUG" Namajunas vs. Carla "COOKIE MONSTER" Esparza for the Strawweight belt will remain champion with a stunning TXO in round 4. In the Lightweight bout Charles Oliveira vs. Justin Gaethje, Oliveira will defeat Gaethje with a stunning KO in round 2 continuing his winning streak as champion. Michael Chandler vs. Tony Ferguson this will be an interesting high paced match, but I give it to Chandler for the decision. Mauricio “SHOGUN" Rua vs. Ovince Saint Preux, tuff call I am a huge fan of Shogun. If it goes the distance, I give the fight to Shogun if there is a TKO in round 2, I give it to OSP, and for Donald "COWBOY" Cerrone vs. Joe Lauzon I give this to Joe by decision.
